Planting design for the front garden of a beautiful, newly-renovated Georgian house

  • Front garden before the redesign

This front garden to a beautiful detached Georgian house in South London was in need of some love.

The owners were renovating the house, and designed the hard landscaping for the front garden themselves, but needed some help designing the planting.

  • An image of the Cultural Center.

The brief for the planting design was low-growing planting which looked good all year round and wouldn’t need watering. The aspect was full sun, and the soil clay with some added top soil.

We chose drought tolerant, resilient planting, mostly evergreen or semi-evergreen for year round structure.

    - Tulbaghia violacea

    - Erigeron karvinskianus

    - Salvia rosmarinus
